Privacy & your data
Written in plain English. No jargon, no small print.
What we collect
- Your postcode, property type, number of bedrooms and heating type.
- Your supplier, tariff name and tariff end date.
- Your energy usage (from a bill you upload, or figures you type in).
- Your notification and risk preferences.
Why we use it
- To forecast your next bill and your 12-month costs (Grandma).
- To read your bill and flag anything that may need checking (Aunty Sarah).
- To compare tariffs and suggest the best time to switch.
- We do not use your data for advertising or credit scoring.
How long we keep it
- Bill images and PDFs: deleted 30 days after they are read.
- Extracted bill figures and forecasts: kept while your account is open.
- Everything is deleted within 30 days of you closing your account.
Correcting or deleting your data
- Edit any answer from Settings, or re-run setup to change your household details.
- Ask us to correct a figure we read from your bill if it looks wrong.
- Request a full download or deletion of your data at any time — we aim to respond within one month.
We do not sell vulnerability data
- Details you share about health, disability, income, prepayment or being in debt are never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
- They are used only to make sure our advice is safe and suitable for your household.
Switching recommendations are independent
- Tariffs are ranked on your estimated cost and risk only.
- Commission never changes the order of results, and we always show the option of staying put.
